Alex Scull

Alex Scull joined UT Austin in December 2017 as part of a team of regional major gift officers, formed in preparation for the What Starts Here Campaign. Embedded in the College of Fine Arts, but also reporting to the Individual Philanthropy Team, he focused on raising major gifts in Houston, New York, Miami and Washington D.C. Prior to his arrival at UT Austin, Scull held advancement and development roles at Marian University (WI), Westminster College (PA) and Presbyterian College (SC). At Westminster, Scull’s alma mater (BA, Political Science and Sociology), Scull helped close out the Ever Higher Campaign, the college’s largest fundraising endeavor to date, as a major gift officer and later the Director of the 1852 Society. At Presbyterian, Scull managed the Neville Renewed Campaign and served as the Director of College Advancement, overseeing all athletic and academic fundraising. Scull started his development career as a CASE Fellow and has presented to future cohorts over the years. Scull enjoys contemporary art and is a member of the Whitney Museum, MoMA, and Ballroom Marfa where he serves on the International Surf Club.
