Elizabeth Dickenson

Elizabeth Dickenson joined The University of Texas at Austin as a Director of Gift and Estate Planning in July, 2022. A native Texan and first-generation college graduate, Elizabeth earned a PhD in History from UT-Austin, where she served as a teaching assistant, supplemental instructor, and adjunct history instructor. Prior to her graduate work at UT, Elizabeth earned BA and MA degrees from Southern Methodist University. Elizabeth’s career spans more than 20 years in fund raising, public service, and higher education. Most recently she was a Senior Director of Development at the University of North Texas and Director of Development for the Texas State History Museum Foundation, where she created a planned giving program to support the Bullock Texas State History Museum. Elizabeth is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and a Fellow in Charitable Estate Planning, and she is currently earning a Chartered Adviser in Philanthropy (CAP) designation through the American College of Financial Services, Inc. Elizabeth is thrilled to be working with donors and friends to support the College of Liberal Arts, one of UT’s largest academic units.
