Genevieve Hughes

Genevieve Hughes joined the University of Texas at Austin as a Director of Gift and Estate in 2020. Prior to joining UT, Genevieve served as a Senior Associate Director of Major Gifts at the University of Chicago Law School and as an Associate Director of Gift Planning for the University of Chicago. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her law degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago School of Law. Before discovering her zeal for higher education fundraising, Genevieve worked professionally in restaurant kitchens, film production companies and as a public interest attorney. Outside of her role at UT, Genevieve enjoys cooking for friends, exploring the greenbelts and small towns of Texas and being outdoors with her pup, Sophie.
