Kent Kostka

Kent Kostka (BA '91) is a lifetime Longhorn who joined the Gift and Estate Planning team in January of 2023. He practically grew up on the 40 Acres, the son of two UT professors, and was President of the Longhorn Band while a student. In addition to a History degree from UT, he earned an MPA from Texas State University and a JD from the University of Denver. Kent worked for almost 20 years as a Senior Attorney for the UT System's Office of General Counsel on a variety of legal matters, as well as several years in private practice doing wills and estate planning.

Kent brings an extensive and broad knowledge of the law as well as a true passion for helping friends and alumni of all levels achieve their goals for truly making an impact at UT. He has been involved with fund-raising for multiple UT alumni groups since the day he graduated and believes everyone can play a role in making The University of Texas the finest and most affordable public university in the world.

Kent is married to a UT Law graduate and enjoys spending time watching UT sports, throwing a baseball with their son, writing, traveling, and patiently being chewed on by their rescue animals.
